The class of 1948 celebrated its 60-year anniversary on September 27 with a day trip to the Franconia/Souderton area of eastern Pa. Of the 48 graduates, 27 (with spouses) enjoyed a memorable day with our renowned class member, John Ruth, as our tour guide. The day began at Christopher Dock Mennonite High School with stops at Salford Mennonite Church where John had pastored for over 20 years and at the Franconia Mennonite Church. A highlight of the day was at the Heritage Museum where we were privileged to see a premiere showing of a film done by John and his son, Jay. This film recorded Anabaptist history of Europe and the beginnings of the Mennonite community in eastern Pa. Our noon meal was at the Heritage Restaurant and later dessert and social time at John's homestead.
