1953 Class Reunion

The LMS class of 1953 met on April 19 in the Alumni Dining Hall for their 55th class reunion, with 50 in attendance (37 alumni). They enjoyed a brunch buffet catered by Dottie Weber and heard from classmate Sara Risser who is a full-time career missionary nurse in Ecuador. They also had a special candle lighting ceremony remembering their 10 deceased classmates. According to JoAnn Zimmerman, class members volunteer time in a wide range of ministries in their retirement years, including Mennonite Central Committee, Bridge of Hope, Samaritan’s Purse, Jubilee Prison Ministry, Transport for Christ, their own congregations, and other similar organizations.
