Curriculum
Driver Education
- Driver Education (Classroom) Driver Education classroom training is incorporated into the
Health/Safety Education class.
- Driver Education (Behind-the-Wheel) This phase of driver education consists of six hours of
actual behind-the-wheel instruction in the car. Instruction is available to students with learner's
permits or licenses. Students are placed on a rotating schedule so that they miss a different set of
classes each time they drive.
Students getting their permits in May, June, or July are encouraged to contact their local public
schools to get behind-the-wheel training during the summer months.
Students do not register for behind-the-wheel training as a separate course. As soon as a student
receives his/her learner's permit from the state, he/she shall report his/her desire for behind-the-wheel
training to the school office.
Fee: $200 as of this printing with possible increase.
