Educational background:
• Graduated from Goshen College in 1984 with a degree in music education
• Studied music in the Congo during a trimester abroad
• Received a masters in music education/choral conducting from Westminster Choir College in 2005

Enjoys teaching because:
I love the everyday challenge of learning new material. No day is ever the same. I love the faculty, administration and students. The atmosphere is positive and nurturing. I also love being able to connect with students on many different levels, whether they are discovering their singing voice for the first time, working on a Renaissance composition, or singing in chapel.
Other:
My husband, Monte, works for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. We have two daughters. We enjoy going to our cabin, camping in the summer, and biking. And we love attending Community Mennonite Church of Lancaster.
