  • B.A. in English & Education from LaSalle College
  • M.Ed. in Reading & Education from Widener University
  • Additional studies in Accounting at St. Joseph's College, mathematics at Millersville University, and statistics education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Married to Joan and they have three children: Jonathan, Daniel and Rebecca (LMS 2004). Teaches an evening course in statistics at EMU, Lancaster. Hobbies include bicycling, hiking, astronomy, geography, mathematics education, writing, literacy education, traditional stories, ballads, history, language history and educational applications of technology. Attends Weavertown Amish Mennonite Church.
