Mr. Winey graduated from Lancaster Mennonite High School where he was an outstanding soccer player. He went on to play for Messiah College, where he became assistant soccer coach.
Mr. Winey started teaching at the Kraybill Campus in 2000, where he also served as basketball coach. He became Lancaster Mennonite's head high school soccer coach in 2007 and moved to the Lancaster Campus in 2008.
In addition to sports, he loves playing the guitar and singing. His birthday is December 16.
