  • "Early Years at the Pond"  Liz Hess PictureWe are happy to announce the unveiling of an original watercolor of ice skating on the LMS pond by artist and LMS alumna, Liz Hess. This nostalgic scene will resonate with alumni from earlier years. Sale of this framed piece, along with 30 limited edition prints will benefit the Kristin Palazzo Visual Arts Endowment.   • Season of GREENS! Goldfinch Farm is a Community Supported Agriculture Farm (CSA) in eastern York County. Customers become members/shareholders of the farm for an entire season, receiving a weekly share of fresh, seasonal, chemical-free, non-GMO vegetables, herbs and flowers. The growing season is about 22 weeks long (almost half a year), from early June to late October or early November. Look for tender salad mix, spinach, green onions and peas in the early season; an abundance of tomatoes, peppers, basil, potatoes and beans throughout the mid-season; and broccoli, sweet potatoes and winter squash in October. You pick up a share of produce each week at the farm or at one of the Lancaster pick-up sites. More information at www.goldfinchfarm.com. A $510 value.

  • North East, Maryland, Coastal Home: This newly- remodeled home can be enjoyed Mon.-F ri., Memorial Day through Labor Day, or for a full week from mid-September through mid-May. The home is situated in charming North East, Md., and is within walking distance of shops, antique stores and restaurants. Two bedrooms, one king bed, sofa beds, loft, two bathrooms, washer, dryer, AC, tennis courts, canoe and kayaks. Sleeps eight people. Value: $800
  • Japanese Jar and Ginger Vase, early 1940s, Japanese stamp on the bottom, jar with orginial base and lid. These pieces are donated by Andrea Kirk, parent.
  • Chicken BBQ and Ribs for 30: Donated by Peter's BBQ. On a mutually-agreed upon date, Dennis Peters will deliver to you and up to 29 of your closest friends hot, finger-licking good barbeque chicken (yes, the same chicken that is served at the auction!) and ribs. You need to schedule this event quickly because Dennis' calendar always fills quickly for his cooking! Must be used within one year of purchase.
  • 2-day Striper Fishing Trip: Taylor’s Island, Chesapeake Bay, with guide, Bob Wyble. Trip includes a 21-foot Parker center console boat, lodging in a local guest house for one night, fishing rods and tackle. Limited to two people plus guide. Meals are available in the local restaurants. Bring snacks and beverages. Days negotiable, June or July, 2012.

  • Down-home Country Cookin’ Breakfast/Brunch for up to 20 at Eileen Benner’s B & B, Rocky Acres, in Mount Joy. No one goes away hungry from Eileen’s table! You will be served a full farmer’s breakfast, to include chipped beef, home fries, sticky buns, eggs, fruit, pancakes/waffles, bacon-sausage-ham, baked oatmeal and quiche.

  • Framed Print of "Tauferhole." This print by Greg Yoder is of the Anabaptist Cave (Tauferhole) in Switzerland. Yoder was commissioned to do the painting several years ago by Masthof Press in Morgantown, PA. They had prints made of the painting because the cave is one of the most significant places on an Anabaptist Heritage Tour of Europe. The original painting was done with water color and gouache (opaque water colors).
  • Soup-of-the-Month: Be the lucky recipient of two quarts of homemade soup each month made by LMS’s very own “Soup-Meister,” Philomena Behmer. “Phil” as she’s affectionately called, has been cooking at LMS for 24 years. She is donating a different soup each month for your dining pleasure. Seafood Bisque and Cheesy Chowder are but two of her favorites. Value: $350.
  • “Send Our Kids to Class!” We all know the tremendous benefits an excellent, Christ-centered education provides. Please join us in providing these opportunities to more students by sponsoring a    student. In appreciation of your support, you will receive a delicious “Cookie Kid” donated by Wendy Jo Hess, 1995, owner of Wendy Jo’s Homemade. All proceeds will provide educational opportunities for LMS students. Your gift is fully tax deductible
  • Deluxe Hershey Bears Tickets. Engle Printing & Publishing Co., Inc. will donate 4 Club Seat tickets to the Hershey Bears game on Sunday, February 12th. It includes 2 Club Seat parking passes.   • Hand-Woven Rayon Scarves. Three scarves donated by Anna Zimmerman, LMS grandparent. These scarves were offered last year and created some lively bidding. Colors offered this year are several shades of purple stripe, black and yellow check, and a lovely beaded ivory.
