2008 Teacher Adventures

Teacher Adventures offer the opportunity for an exciting activity with a Kraybill teacher or staff member. The following adventures were available for 2008:

 

A Fun Afternoon in a Sweet Town!"

Come and join Mrs. Steffen (First Grade Teacher) for a fun-filled afternoon at Chocolate World in Hershey. We will begin by taking the chocolate tour, then go and watch the Really Big 3-D Movie, and end the day with ice cream at the food court!

This adventure is for one student and a friend.

 

Mrs. Steffen (first grade teacher)  Join Mrs. Steffen for an afternoon of miniature golfing and ice cream for a student and one friend.

 

 

Mrs. Engle (third grade teacher) and Miss Kennel:  Enjoy the great outdoors as you hike in Mount Gretna then experience ice cream  at the Jigger Shop.  Adventure for up to three students.

 

 

Mrs. Fisher (fourth grade teacher) and Miss Detweiler (fifth grade teacher):  Mrs. Fisher and Miss Detweiler team up to take a student and up to three friends miniature golfing and out for ice cream.

 

 

Mrs. Garton (elementary/Middle school computer teacher):  “Garton Crayfish Pool Party Adventure”  for you and up to 7 friends!  Swimming, games, lunch (including frog legs) , and  crayfish catching contest!  Fun in the creek—Catch ’em, cook ‘em, EAT ‘em!  Date to be agreed upon later; time 1:00-4:00pm.

 

 

Mrs. Weinstein (art teacher) Art Museum Adventure:  Get a private tour of the Philadelphia Museum of Art with Mrs. Weinstein.  Good for one adult and one child.  Enjoy a summer afternoon in the cool corridors of one of the best art museums in America.  Transportation to be worked out with interested parties.

 

Geocaching Treasure Hunt

Mrs. Smith(fourth grade teacher) along with Kurt and Tina Enck( parents of Kyler-1H):  A morning of treasure hunting in Chickie’s Rock County Park for up to 10 people.  GPS units will be used to locate hidden clues with a treasure for the group that finishes first!  A picnic lunch will be provided.

 

 

Middle School Only:

Mr. Rush, Mr. Schildt, Miss Grager(Middle school teachers)  “All You Can Eat Game Extravaganza” at the Rush Residence.  Whoever wins the bid can bring two friends (total three students).  Students determine length of time, what games, and what junk food they would like.
