The purpose of the Middle School Challenge program is to provide instruction in advanced technology applications and provide opportunities for students to use that technology in enriching learning activities.

  • Using web 2.0 tools:
    • Spore, Wikis, Roxer Web site building site, 3D Textmaker, Scrapblog, Jing, Gaggle, Googledocs, Puzzlemaker
  • Creating podcasts with Garageband
  • Creating websites with Roxer, Composer, Wikispaces
  • Proper web design
  • Creating a tutorial with Jing

Activities from 2007-2008:

  • Building and programming a robot with Lego Mindstorms
  • Creating a stop-motion animation (VideoBlender, Frames)
  • Writing a song in Garageband
  • Creating a claymation video with audio and editing it using iMovie
  • Creating a dvd of animations and claymations using iDVD
