Locust Grove Welcomes Lidys Fernandez

Dear Locust Grove parents/caregivers:  

As we begin our second quarter of the school year today please join us in welcoming Ms. Lidys Fernandez to our campus!

Ms. Fernandez comes from Honduras where she serves as a teacher at White Dove Mennonite School. In early September she traveled here with a student worship team from White Dove.  The group presented programs in numerous churches and schools, including a chapel service at Locust Grove. While the student group has returned to Honduras, Ms. Fernandez extended her stay in this country to further experience Christian education.

Ms. Fernandez is spending six weeks at Locust Grove, visiting different elementary classrooms each week, observing and helping teachers, and interacting with students. Her fluent Spanish makes her an asset in both Spanish classes and in music classes where students in PreK-3 are preparing a bi-lingual Christmas program for Friday, December 4, 7:00 p.m.
