Student Body

  • 146 students in grades 6-8
  • 21.4%  of the students are from under-represented racial/ethnic groups.
  • More than 20 denominations represented
  • Students from four counties, six states, and six countries — 47 school districts — on the Lancaster Campus
  • Approximately 52% of the students are from Anabaptist-related congregations

Faculty & Staff

  • The middle school core faculty work together as a team to build community and to integrate learning. 
  • Grade six provides a gradual transition from elementary school to middle school.
  • More than half the faculty have advanced degrees.

  • Students receive Bible instruction using the Journeys with God Bible curriculum.

Location

The 90-acre Lancaster Campus is located along Lincoln Highway East, two miles east of downtown Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Transportation

Public school districts whose borders are within 10 miles of the Lancaster Campus  will provide district residents with transportation between the district and the Lancaster Campus:

  • An LMS bus provides transportation from the Mount Joy and Elizabethtown area (for a small fee)
  • Carpooling is available from many areas not served by busses

SUPPORT SERVICES

The Learning Support Program is an inclusion program that enables students who learn differently to participate in regular education within the classroom.  The Learning Support staff partner with classroom teachers to ensure that curriculum, instruction and evaluations are flexible.  If best for the student, the Learning Support Room provides small group instruction in math and language.

Tuition & Fees

Lancaster  Mennonite School seeks to make the cost of Christian education affordable. Tuition discounts and scholarships are available for families with multiple children enrolled in Lancaster Mennonite School, for families from supporting congregations, and for those that demonstrate financial need through a confidential assessment.

Tuition Schedule for 2008-09 

Middle School (Grades 6 through 8):  $492/month (12 months)
Registration Fee: $100 per student
Accident Insurance Fee: $25
Additional fees apply for learning support services

Discount for students at any LMS campus in grades K-12
$400 discount for second child; $500 discount for each additional child
Partner Church discounts may also be available
