ELEMENTARY EDUCATION PROGRAM

Full-day Pre-kindergarten

  • Full-day program (8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.)
  • Five days per week (with the option of fewer days)
  • Students must be age 4 by September 1.

Full-day Kindergarten

  • Choice of full-day kindergarten program 5, 4 or 3 days per week
  • Success-based curriculum blends academic and developmental approaches.
  • Students must be age 5 by September 1.

Elementary School

  • Emphasis upon basic educational skills, habits and knowledge
  • Classes are self-contained except for physical education, music, and art.
  • Formal computer instruction starts in fourth grade

Spiritual Life

  • Elementary students receive daily Bible instruction using the Journeys with God Bible curriculum.
  • All students attend a weekly chapel service.
  • All teachers are committed to integrate Christian faith into all subject areas.
  • Bible memorization

Technology/Computer

  • Integration of technology throughout instruction
  • Weekly computer instruction for students in grades 4-5 integrates technology and learning.
  • A wireless mobile computer lab is available for classroom use.

Music & Art

  • Music for grades K and up
  • Two music programs each year
  • Band instruction with group lessons for grades 4 and up
  • Art classes for grades 1 and up

Athletics

Mennonite Sports Organization provides athletic opportunities for students in grades PreK and up.

  • All teachers are certified and have bachelor’s or master’s degrees.

  • Approximately 110 students
  • Multiple Christian denominations represented
  • Students from 7 school districts: Conestoga Valley, Hempfield, Lampeter-Strasburg, Lancaster, Penn Manor, Red Lion Area, and Solanco

Location

New Danville Campus is located on a rural 12-acre campus three miles south of Lancaster between New Danville and Willow Street.

Transportation

Public school districts whose borders are within 10 miles of New Danville will provide district residents with transportation between the district and the New Danville Campus:

  • Conestoga Valley
  • Hempfield
  • Lampeter-Strasburg
  • Lancaster
  • Manheim Township
  • Penn Manor
  • Solanco

Please contact your public school district for details about their non-public transportation policies and schedules.

PreK children cannot be transported on buses.

HOT LUNCH PROGRAM

The Lancaster Campus caters a daily hot lunch for New Danville students, which is eaten in classrooms.

Tuition & Fees

Lancaster  Mennonite School seeks to make the cost of Christian education affordable. Tuition discounts and scholarships are available for families with multiple children enrolled in Lancaster Mennonite School, for families from supporting congregations, and for those that demonstrate financial need through a confidential assessment.
