Linda M. Ebersole Memorial Golf Tournament

The Linda M. Ebersole Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Friday, September 17 at the Lancaster Host Golf Resort. The shotgun start is set for 1 p.m. and the format is primarily individual although a scramble option is available. This amateur tournament is open to the first 100 registrants.

The cost of $85.00 per person includes greens fee, cart, free practice balls at the driving range, dinner following the round, and a chance for more than 20 prizes which will be awarded at four levels: championship, men, women, and senior men 65 and older.

The tournament is held in memory of Linda Ebersole, a 1971 Lancaster Mennonite High School (LMH) graduate who died October 11, 2006. Linda, along with husband Jay Ebersole, encouraged Lancaster Mennonite to start a golf program which then began in 1999 and joined the Lancaster-Lebanon League in 2000.

The tournament is part of Lancaster Mennonite School’s annual Alumni Athletic Weekend which also includes field hockey and soccer games on Saturday, September 18, at the high school stadium: varsity/junior varsity field hockey against Palmyra at 11 a.m. and 12:15; alumni field hockey game at 1:30 p.m.; alumni soccer game at 3:15 p.m.; and junior varsity/varsity boys soccer against Pequea Valley at 5:15 and 7 p.m. For more information about the Alumni Athletic Weekend call (717) 299-0436, ext. 706.
