LMH students excel in fall sports

allstars

This fall the boys soccer team won Section and District 3 championships and advanced to the semi-finals of States. Boys cross country and two girls cross country team members also advanced to States. In addition, three other sports were section champs: boys cross country, girls volleyball and golf. Field hockey finished second in the Lancaster-Lebanon League tournament.

Individual honors:
In section 4 boys soccer, Keegan Rosenberry was named an L-L League All-Star as well as the Section MVP. In addition, Rosenberry, along with Benji Kennel and Curtis Ranck were named first team Section 4 All-Stars. Caleb Cole and Mark Engle were name second team All-Stars. Also, Brandon Kratz was named an Academic All-Star.

In Class AA field hockey, Katie Andrews was named to the All-State first team, Rachel Dickenson to the All-State second team and Abby Basom honorable mention. In Section 3, Andrews and Dickinson were named L-L League All-Stars, and their coach, Cicely Berkey, was named Section 3 Coach of the Year. Named first team Section 3 All-Stars were Basom, Andrews, Dickinson and Kaitlin Brubaker. Named second team All-Stars were Ketura Landis and Sally Wenger. Caroline Augsberger was honorable mention. In addition, six players were named Academic All-Stars: Caroline Augsberger, Kaitlin Brubaker, Dickinson, Carissa Harnish, Sally Wenger and Jillian Zook.

In Section 3 golf, Jason Sauder was named an L-L League All-Star and first team Section 3 All- Star, along with Tuck Ryan, Luke Weierbach and Chris Keener.

In girls Section 3 volleyball, Jessica Rheinheimer, Danielle Weaver and Amy Collins were named first team Section 3 All-Stars and Taylor Smith was named a second team All-Star. In girls Section 3 volleyball, Jessica Rheinheimer, Danielle Weaver and Amy Collins were named first team Section 3 All-Stars, and Taylor Smith was named a second team All-Star. In addition, Rheinheimer was selected for the All-District team.

In boys cross country, Jared Schatz was named a first team Section All-Star, and Zach Zook was honorable mention. In girls cross country, Janessa Martin was named a first team Section All- Star.
