Moffett named as scholarship finalist

Lancaster Mennonite High School senior Seth Moffett, son of Glen and Linda Moffett, Lancaster, has been named a finalist in the 2010 National Merit Scholarship Program, and two other seniors have been named Commended Students--Aaron Gish, son of Martin and Robin Gish, Elizabethtown, and Taylor Wenger, daughter of Cliff and Carol Wenger, New Holland.

About 90 percent of the semifinalists become finalists who are eligible for merit scholarships, presented in the spring. The students qualified for the honors by participating in the PSAT/NMSQT test taken in 2008.
