Flu Precautions
Cooperation between the school and home regarding some basic health habits will minimize the risk of H1N1 flu, as well as other forms of flu and sickness. Please keep in mind some simple precautions to reduce the likelihood of the flu:
- Keep sick children home if they have flu-like symptoms
- Keep children home 24 hours after a fever is gone
- Tell your children not to share personal items like combs
- Emphasize washing hands (we are providing hand cleaners)
- Remind your children to cover their mouths when coughing
- Please have a plan for childcare in the event your student cannot attend school.
We have masks on campus should a child become ill. Ill students will be kept away from other students until they are picked up by a parent or caregiver.
We will keep you informed about flu shots as information becomes available.
To stay informed, it is important that you regularly check your e-mail for announcements from the school. If you are not receiving E-Link announcements from the school, please enter your e-mail address in the E-Link box on the "Information for Current Students and Parents" page.
