Lancaster Mennonite’s yearbook receives top award

Lancaster Mennonite High School’s 2009 yearbook, the Laurel Wreath, has received a Gold Medalist rating from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. This is the school’s 16th consecutive year for the top award. The book also received All-Columbian Honors for concept, coverage, photography, and design categories. Student staff members for the 2009 Laurel Wreath were: Katelyn Rittenhouse, editor-in-chief; Lisa Weaver, assistant editor; Juliana Hershey, Emily Hursh and Kiersten Stoltzfus, head photographers; Molly Kraybill, Carli Bowman, and Stephanie Knowles, photographers; Alexandra Diamantoni, student life editor; Phil Yoder, assistant student life editor; Thea Weaver, underclassmen/activities editor; Mike Madea, assistant underclassmen/activities editor; Brett Ladley, sports editor; Kristen Stoltzfus, assistant sports editor; Eric Augsburger, academics/faculty editor; Aaron Gish, assistant academics/faculty editor; Andrew Kreider, seniors/dividers computer editor; John Bomgardner, underclassmen/activities computer editor; Lauren Stoltzfus, sports/index computer editor; Doyeon Kim, academics/ads computer editor; Marisa Umble, student life/faculty computer editor; Amber Forshey, business manager; Mindy Stipe, assistant business manager; and Carrie Smucker, copy editor. English teacher Jane Moyer was faculty adviser.
