Athletics


Basketball season begins
The high school varsity and junior varsity boys basketball teams will begin their season at the Hershey Tip-Off Tournament on Friday, November 30. JV will play at 4:30 and varsity at 6 p.m.  Both teams will play again on Saturday with times determined by Friday’s results.

The high school varsity girls basketball team will begin their season play at Hamburg 4 p.m., Friday, November 30. The JV girls team will play Saturday at 12:00 and 1:15. Saturday’s varsity game time and opponent will be determined by Friday’s results.

Coaching needs
Coaches are needed for varsity and JV softball, JV baseball, jumps and distance coaches for track, and JH JV girls soccer. Contact Mike Yoder at (717) 299-0436, ext. 365.

Fall sports accomplishments

  • Boys soccer won a section title.
  • Field hockey won a section title and defeated Penn Manor to win the LL League title. They finished second in the district and advanced to state playoffs.
  • Both the boys and girls cross country teams won section team titles. The boys cross country team won its first district team title in class AA.
  • The girls volleyball team won a section title, took second in the district and qualified for state play.
  • The golf team qualified five players for district competition— Luke Weierbach, Jason Sauder, Trent Miller, David Denlinger, and Matt Burkhart. Burkhart and Denlinger both qualified for the state tournament. Burkhart finished 7th and Denlinger finished 35th.
