Gratitude for Volunteers
Events such as last month’s Race for Education and the upcoming Thanksgiving activities in the classroom indicate again how much the school benefits from parent volunteers. The school deeply appreciates and welcomes both parents and grandparents volunteering in support of teachers and students.

Host Family Needed
Kraybill Campus needs a family to host our international volunteer, Sister Trivina (from Egypt), January–June 2008. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about another culture and develop a global friendship. For more information contact John Weber at 653-5236 or weberjs@lancastermennonite.org.

Grades 1–3 Christmas program
Plan to attend this year’s elementary Christmas program Friday, December 14, at 7 p.m. Our students, under the direction of Mrs. Weaver, will perform McMahon/Wilson’s “Hallelujah Crew Christmas Cruise” along with several instrumental pieces by the 5th grade ensemble.

All-school rollerskating survey results
A majority of parents (55%) responding to the survey preferred holding the Kraybill Campus all-school roller-skating event during the winter months (January-February) rather than at the end of school. The change will be made for 2009.

House construction, 2007-08 Christmas Project
Kraybill Campus students will be raising funds to construct a portion of a house for a Louisiana family who lost their home during Hurricane Katrina. The Christmas project, to be coordinated with Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS), will involve raising up to $6,000 and hopefully assembling the modular walls on the school parking lot with student and parent volunteer labor. The modular walls will then be shipped to New Orleans next spring. Watch for more details on how families can participate.

Shopping Online can benefit Kraybill
