Early dismissal transportation notice
When Locust Grove Mennonite School has an early dismissal, parents need to make arrangements to carpool in the afternoon, since public transportation departments will not transport our students on those afternoons.
Grandparents Day
We had a wonderful day on October 4 as 180 grandparents shared in classes and chapel with their grandchildren. What a joy to see anticipation and excitement from all ages. Thank you, grandparents, for a great morning.
Parent teacher conferences
Parent teacher conferences will be scheduled for November 6 and November 8. You will receive a mailing at the end of October that will indicate the time of your conference.
Lost and found items
Please stop by the Lost and Found table in the hallway outside the kitchen when you come in for your parent teacher conference on November 6 or 8. Everything unclaimed will be taken to Water Street Rescue Mission.
Roller skates
Dates for this family activity at Overlook Roller Rink in Manheim Township off Route 501 are November 3, January 5, and February 9. Times for the three skates are 4–7 p.m. Cost is $4.00 for admission, $2.00 for regular skate rentals, and $3.00 for in-line skate rentals.
Moms in Touch
Mothers interested in praying for our students, teachers and staff are invited to the Moms in Touch prayer group which will meet each Thursday in the conference room from 8:15–9:15 a.m. For more information contact Colleen Brubaker at (717) 390-0588 or accjbru@comcast.net
Physicals for basketball players
Physicals for boys and girls JH basketball players will be Tuesday, November 13, 9–9:30 a.m. at the high school. Transportation to the high school will be provided. To sign up, call Marcy Root at Locust Grove at 394-7107. Physicals are $15.
