Grandparents Day
Thursday morning, October 11, was an exciting time as grandparents visited classes and enjoyed chapel with their grandchildren. Thank you, grandparents, for a great morning! Recipes collected from grandparents will be compiled into booklets and distributed to families.
Race for Education fundraiser
Each day the mail brings responses from the letters students sent to friends and family regarding this fundraiser which is new to our school. Thank you for taking the time to provide addresses to the committee for this purpose. We are looking forward to the “race” on Friday, October 19, with PreK–2nd participating from 12:15–1:15 and grades 3–5 from 1:15–2:15. Parents are welcome to come and watch or “race” with their children.
Parent-teacher conferences
Conference appointments will be mailed to parents shortly. If you cannot keep the conference time that is assigned to you, please make other arrangements directly with the teacher. First quarter report cards will be sent home with students prior to conferences.
Fundraising update
- Proceeds from the recent Gianni pizza sale were approximately $2,000! Thank you for your wonderful support of our students.
- We encourage your participation in our on-going “painless” fundraisers—the purchase of grocery coupons (5% of your grocery bill goes to the school) and the collection of General Mills box tops (www.boxtops4education.com). A box of coupons was sent recently for which the school will be reimbursed $307.40, and we hope to do the same again in the spring. Please call the school if you have questions.
- If your family chose not to participate in the pizza sale or Race for Education, we encourage you to make a tax deductible donation of $75 or more toward our fundraising efforts. Thank you!
- Income from the fall fundraisers will go toward the site council pledge for last year’s renovation project and the purchase of a climbing wall for the physical education program.
