Report Online

Superintendent’s note
Lancaster Mennonite School is a partnership of parents, teachers, students, congregations, alumni, businesses, friends and the broader community. The core of the partnership is home, school and church.
To be in a partnership means to be working together toward goals and a vision. It means that we build relationships and communicate with each other. This is particularly important in the Christian nurture and education of our children.
This month there are a number of parent meetings plus notes being sent home by classroom teachers. This Report newsletter is another way we communicate with parents. We hope this first electronic edition enhances our communication with you.
Also, the E-links you receive from time to time will continue to build our partnership. You are encouraged to regularly visit our website at www.lancastermennonite.org. The website has a new look and some new features—please check it out. You will find:
- the school calendar
- student handbooks
- lunch menus
- faculty email addresses
- athletic schedules
- school news & much more
Shalom!

Stadium coming soon/advertising opportunities
The holes are dug, the stadium seats are being manufactured and
township is in the final approval stage for the last phase of the
new stadium. Now is a good time for your business or church to consider
sponsoring a sign on the field. This is a wonderful advertising opportunity
as well as a unique way to support your child. Funding for the stadium
complex will be complete if we can sell all the space we have designated
on the east end of the field. See the Stadium
Advertising Opportunities form for details.

Summer Program director position open
Summer programs at LMS provide enrichment opportunities for elementary
and secondary school students. These programs are usually led by LMS
faculty and may be held at any of the four campuses. The director
represents LMS to the public, and the position requires good organizational,
personal and communication skills.
This is a part-time position that may be ideal for a teacher or someone who does not have ongoing employment during the summer. Friday, October 26, with a public concert at 7 p.m. Go to www.pennview.org for directions.
Box tops for education/Campbells labels
Collect box top labels from Betty Crocker and General Mills products and earn cash for each campus. Give the labels
to the school office. The Lancaster Campus also saves Campbells labels. In all cases, please make sure the bar code
remains intact. These and grocery store programs raised thousands of dollars for our campuses last year. Every one counts!
