Fall Gathering & Auction/specialty items needed!
The Fall Gathering & Auction will be held at the Lancaster Campus Thursday–Saturday, November 15–17. Each year specialty items are an important part of Saturday’s auction. In the past such items have included automobiles, vacation packages, meals/teas, gift certificates, gift baskets, collectibles/antiques, artwork, crafts, lawn and garden equipment and tools. If you would like to donate a specialty item for this year’s event, please contact Gary Hiller at (717) 653-5236. Specialty items are collected early in order to properly advertise them. Proceeds from the Fall Gathering & Auction benefit the annual fund which helps keep tuition affordable.
Iron Bridge 5K Run/Walk—for athletic track
An Iron Bridge 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Saturday, November
17 (registration at 8:30 a.m.). Run or walk the cross country course

help to make the new track a reality at the Lancaster Campus. The
individual entry fee for the race is $25 for adults and $15 for students.

Fall social
Student Council is planning a fall social for grades 6–8 from 7–9 p.m. October 12 in Gym A. There will be games, a hayride, a bonfire and food. There is no cost for the evening, but students should sign up and get a ticket so that we can prepare an appropriate amount of food and game supplies. Please pick up students in front of Gym A promptly at 9:00.
Peer Leadership
Selected high school peer leaders are helping teachers with middle school clubs during the first quarter. During the second quarter, seventh grade students will meet with peer leaders each Tuesday during club period. Students are divided into groups of eight with two high school peer leaders.
The high school leaders had a one-day training seminar before school began and meet weekly with guidance counselor Lois Whitcraft. According to a student survey the program helps them get ready for high school, make wise decisions in relationships, and accept differences in others.
