Looking Ahead for:
Locust Grove Campus
Thank you!
- Thank you to mothers and fathers who have offered to be room parents for this school year. Throughout the year, these parents will give other parents a call asking for help on certain classroom or school events. Consider how you can be involved in some way with your child’s classroom and school. Special thanks to Becky Ashley for being the room parent coordinator this year.
- Thanks to all who came to Parent Orientation Monday evening, September 10. For those who were unable to attend, a packet of information was mailed home.
Students staying for sports games
- Only students in grades 3–8 may stay for a game. Students must bring a note from home, with a parent signature, that gives permission for them to stay.
- This note must be given to the teacher at the beginning of the day.
- At 3 p.m. all students will go to a designated supervised area.
- Only middle school students will be transported to the Lancaster Campus for an athletic event.
Parent work day
There will be a Parent Work Day on October 13. This will be a “drop in” work day from 8 a.m.–12 noon. Come when you can, but by all means, COME! This event will be held rain or shine. Weather permitting; outside work will include weeding, cleaning windows, miscellaneous repairs, and some outside painting.
Health screening day
Health screening day will be held on October 17. Children in grades K–3 and grade 7 will be tested for hearing. All students will have vision, height and weight checked. Parents of young children in kindergarten through second grade are encouraged to talk about this at home so the children will know what to expect.
