Locust Grove Campus

See you at the art preview and auction!
We look forward to seeing you at our annual chicken barbecue and benefit auction this Friday, April 25. Also, you are cordially invited to the Art Preview Reception on Thursday, the 24th, 4–7 p.m. Please see general announcement on page 2 and also refer to your weekly auction bulletins for more details.

Middle school field day
Students in Grades 6–8 will enjoy a great day of outdoor activities during the annual Middle School Field Day on Wednesday, May 21. We would like to involve parents in helping to run some of the activity stations, thereby freeing faculty for more involvement with students. If you are interested in helping, please look for the form that will be sent home via clan courier the week of April 28.

Get ready to celebrate!
On Friday, May 30, students in kindergarten through grade 5 will celebrate this great school year by enjoying an exciting day of special events at our annual Elementary Field Day. Students will participate in a variety of outdoor activities. Sixth grade students will be involved as helpers. Please note that the May 21 calendar date is the Middle School (6–8th grade) Field Day.

Lost and found
Coats, sweatshirts, sweaters, etc. have been turned in to the Lost and Found. If your student is missing any of these items, please have him/her check the Lost and Found table which will be set up in the middle school hallway April 28. Unclaimed items will be sent to Water Street Rescue Mission after May 30.

Early dismissal
Locust Grove is having an early dismissal Friday, May 9, at 12:30 p.m. School districts do not provide transportation on days that Locust Grove dismisses early, so please make arrangements to have your child(ren) picked up promptly at dismissal time.

Yearbooks
Yearbooks will cost $15.00 this year and we anticipate them being available mid-May. At that time, all students will be able to bring payment and receive a book.

Joint music event a first for LG and ND
For the first time, grades 3–5 students at Locust Grove and New Danville will perform a joint elementary spring concert. It will be held May 9, 7 p.m., at the Fine Arts Center at the Lancaster Campus. All students will sing, and grades 4 and 5 also will participate in the band.
