Looking Ahead for:
Kraybill Campus
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Spring parent-teacher Conferences for grades 1–8 are being scheduled for Tuesday evening, March 4, and Thursday afternoon and evening, March 6. There will be an early dismissal (12:00) on Thursday, March 6. Please note that parent conferences with the kindergarten teachers will be scheduled for the beginning of April. Thanks for returning your conference preference forms.
Pastors to have lunch with students
On Wednesday, February 20, Kraybill has invited pastors to come and eat lunch with their students. Special thanks to Twila Sauder for coordinating the preparation of packed lunches. Having pastors join their elementary students for lunch at school helps build relationships between the school and church community for nurturing faith in the lives of our students.
Palazzo Gallery and Gym Connector dedicated
A dedication ceremony marking the completion of the construction and the opening of the Palazzo Gallery and Middle School—Gym Connector was held February 10. Along with giving thanks to God and dedicating the addition, several persons including the Palazzo family members, shared their hopes and dreams for use of the connector/gallery. A plaque was unveiled honoring the artistic gifts of former Kraybill student Kristin Palazzo. Approximately $40,000 in capital funds is still needed to fully cover the construction costs.
Pastors Luncheon invitation
If your child has not yet invited your pastor to this year’s luncheon on Wednesday, February 20, we would encourage you to remind your child of this special event. Pastors of all our students are invited to come and enjoy lunch with the students from their congregation who attend Kraybill. The event helps pastors connect with students in their school setting.
Hoagie fund raiser in progress
Information and materials for this spring’s student fund raiser were distributed earlier this month. Kraybill Campus families have been receiving a tuition discount because of the high level of parent/student involvement and the success in both student fund raisers and the benefit auction. In order to maintain future tuition discounts, we need your continued support.
This year’s hoagie proceeds will go toward the installation of a DVD projector system in the Meetinghouse (25%) and the Kraybill Campus lobby renovations (75%). Prizes for selling hoagies are coupons for ice cream (for selling 50-99), a visit to Pizza Hut (100-149), and a ticket to Hershey Park (150+). The deadline to place orders is Thursday, March 6. Parent volunteers are urgently needed to make the sandwiches on Hoagie Day, March 13. Volunteering to make hoagies is an excellent way to learn to know other parents and help the school. Place hoagie day, March 13, on your calendar.
Eighth Grade Science Fair Projects will be on display in the Meetinghouse, March 14, for parents to come and review. The projects are a major part of the 8th grade science class and an important learning experience that requires students to draw on concepts and knowledge from previous years.
