New Danville Campus

Family Science Night
Thanks to our students for the effort they put toward the second annual Family Science Night last month. Their work was outstanding, as was the attendance. Thanks also to Mrs. Josephian and our teachers for their leadership in making this a success.

Spring Sub Sale
Thanks for your participation in the sub sale earlier this month. A total of 451 subs were sold and $1,152 was raised.

Volunteer hours—Thank you!
We logged 110 hours for the month of February.

Penny Power Project
In a recent chapel, another opportunity for service was presented to the New Danville community to “Live and Give God’s Way.” We are participating in Mennonite Central Committee’s Penny Power Project. The proceeds will help bring clean water to those in the world who do not have it. Please encourage your children to think of ways they can collect money for this worthy cause and remind them to bring in their change to help make a BIG change in our world. We will collect money until Thursday, April 3. Thank you for your generosity. Log on to www.pennypower.org for more details regarding this MCC project.

Spring benefit auction
Donations are arriving for our auction scheduled for Friday night, April 18. A brochure with more details will soon be coming home with students as will the auction volunteer sheet. All families are strongly encouraged to participate by working at the event, donating merchandise, and/or working with area businesses. Also, please consider purchasing new items to be sold over the auction block, or donating gently-used items from your home or shop that would appeal to the general public. John and Melissa Mattilio, auction co-chairpersons, welcome your call (917-4682) regarding any question you may have about a possible donation or if you need to arrange pickup for an item. The sale benefits the LMS annual fund.

Literacy Night
Please plan to attend our first Literacy Night at New Danville on Thursday, April 3, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. This will be a time for the entire family to enjoy drama, poetry and literacy-related activities in the classrooms. Watch for details.

Parent meeting
The annual spring parent meeting will be held in the auditorium on Monday, April 7, at 7 p.m.

Included with report cards
Included with report cards on March 28 will be certificates from Family Science Night and achievement test results for those families who did not yet receive them.
