Fall Gathering and Auction
Lancaster Mennonite School’s annual Fall Gathering and Auction will be held at the school’s Lancaster Campus Thursday through Saturday, November 15-17.
The high school play, “Animal Farm,” will be performed each evening at 7:30 in the Fine Arts Center. For ticket information call (717) 299-0436, ext. 340. Friday will include a pig roast/chicken barbecue 12:30-8:00 p.m. (takeout 12:30-8:00 and dine in 4:30-8:00), preview of quilts and other sale items, a baked goods sale, and a silent auction that will end Saturday afternoon.
Saturday will begin with breakfast at 8:00, and the general auction at 9:00. The day also includes a small auction at 10:00, handcrafted quilts and wall hangings at 11:00, and specialty items at noon that will feature a limited number of custom-made eight-inch pitchers crested with the school seal. The colonial-style pitchers are crafted from pewter-like metal by the Wilton Armetale foundry. Other specialty items include vacation packages, sports tickets, artwork, and more.
For auction information, call Gary Hiller at 653-5236, or go to lancastermennonite.org. Auction proceeds will benefit the school’s annual fund. The Lancaster Campus is located along Route 30 about 2 miles east of Lancaster.
A 5K Iron Bridge Run/Walk also will be held Saturday morning at 9:30, in conjunction with the weekend events (registration at 8:00). To register, complete a registration form or call Jeff shank at 394-7107.
