Locust Grove Campus Auction

The Locust Grove Campus of Lancaster Mennonite School will hold its 34th annual Chicken Barbecue and Benefit Auction on Friday, April 25. The Chicken Barbecue is set for 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.


The benefit auction, beginning at 4:00, is known for its sale of original and limited edition art which will be on sale throughout the evening. This year’s gallery, featuring numerous local artists and several national-known artists, will be open for previewing on Thursday, April 24, 4-7 p.m. Artists represented are: Margaret Gehman, Bob Redcay, Julia Swartz, Stephen Leed, Ned Foltz, Maribelle Steffy, Steve Wilson, Mary Charles, Elsie Beiler, Emily Smucker Beidler, Suk Shuglie, Velma Magill, Cindy Schlosser, Ralph Jemison, Emmett Murphy, Carol Herr, Freiman Stoltzfus, Karen Fretz, and Marcia Miller.


The benefit auction also will feature specialty items, quilts and handcrafted items, lawn and garden items, gift certificates, collectibles, and more. Items recently donated for the auction include:


• Pocono chalet weekend
• Authentic Kenyan meal for six people
• Antique reproduction settee
• Autographed Greg Luzinski baseball
• Frogmore meal for 8–12 people
• Two-night stay at Ocean City, Md., Best Western
• Heavy duty tricycle and wagon
