The beautiful 95-acre Lancaster Campus along Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, serves students in grades 6-12. Quality facilities provide many excellent learning opportunities at the Lancaster Campus.
At the Hershey Campus of Lancaster Mennonite School, we believe in educating the whole child—spiritually, academically, socially and emotionally. Our greatest strength is an environment that sustains a healthy, loving Christian community.
Founded in 1949, Kraybill started out in the historic 1898 Kraybill Meetinghouse. Over the years, the classrooms moved to modern facilities on the twelve-acre campus. The renovated Meetinghouse now serves as the campus chapel, a reminder of the school’s spiritual foundation and close relationship with the Church.
The campus seeks to have a warm ecumenical spirit, valuing students of differing different denominational backgrounds, racial/ethnic groups and abilities. Locust Grove is one of the few schools in Lancaster County that offers the option of Spanish Immersion at the elementary level.
New Danville features a strong early childhood program that prepares students for the next levels of learning. Nurturing teachers create a fun, safe environment for learning at New Danville. The spacious playground, appropriate for all grades, illustrates the importance of fun in this educational community.
After three years of conversations, planning and visiting other urban school locations in Philadelphia and Harrisburg, Saint James School — A Lancaster Mennonite School Early Learning Center — will open its doors to its first pupils in August, 2017.
Public School Transportation
Public school districts whose borders are within ten miles of a LM campus will transport students residing in that district from that district to that LM campus and back. The Ephrata School District will transport high school students to the Locust Grove Campus where they can get a LM shuttle to the Lancaster Campus. This public-private combination is the solution for high school students in the Ephrata/Akron area (the chart accurately shows that Ephrata School District does not transport directly to the Lancaster Campus).
Please contact your public school district for details about their non-public transportation policies and schedules (children under age 5 cannot be transported on public school buses).
LM Operated Bus Routes
LM runs a bus to bring northwest Lancaster County students to the Lancaster Campus for high school (for a fee). The bus to the Lancaster Campus has pick up points in Elizabethtown and Mount Joy.
The Lancaster Campus also has buses serving eastern Chester County (Oxford, Parkesburg and Cochranville) and York County.
