Pastors Day Email Header

We were thrilled to host our student’s pastors and spiritual mentors to campus on Wednesday, October 18 for our annual Pastor’s Day Breakfast. There were 35 pastors in attendance representing 29 congregations.

There was a time for pastors to network and fellowship together over breakfast and a short program by LM.  The program featured music from Superintendent, Dr. Michael Badriaki and strings teacher, Drew Peris and Elementary students shared a song led by music teacher, Monica Carlson and were accompanied on guitar by pastor at Akron Mennonite, Matt Carlson. Next, there was a video and student panel where students shared what they appreciate about their pastor and church and ways they are growing in their faith in their churches and at LM. Then, students met with their pastors around tables in the cafeteria. There was a lot of great conversation and energy with the excitement of students and pastors connecting together. At the end of the event, pastors had the opportunity to tour the campus as well.

Lancaster Mennonite is so thankful for the work of pastors and faith communities, and we praise God knowing that our students have many groups of people who love and care for them and teach them about faith, the Bible, discipleship, and what it means to follow Jesus. It is our hope that we were able to provide pastors with a positive opportunity for interaction with the young members of their congregation. We are so thankful these pastors and congregations allow Lancaster Mennonite to come alongside their ministry and provide a high-quality Christian education to the future World Changers of their church community.

Thanks to LM students Skyler Martin and Seth Hoover and staff, Rebecca Fennimore for filming this video, and to student, Seth Hoover for editing the video.
