The Senior Class Commencement will take place on May 30, 2026 at 10 AM in the High Fine Arts Center at Lancaster Mennonite School, 2176 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA for the class of 2026 as the school’s 84th graduating class.
No Tickets Required – This year you do not need tickets to attend graduation. All students are welcome to invite family and friends, and we are not limiting the number of tickets per student and family this year.
Graduation Speaker
We are pleased to welcome Christine J. Gardner, Ph.D., Provost of Messiah University as our Commencement speaker for the 84th Lancaster Mennonite High School graduating class. Her address will be entitled “Standing Firm”.
Dr. Christine Gardner has served as Provost of Messiah University since 2024. Previously she served as Dean of the School of Graduate, Professional, and Extended Studies at Gordon College, where she also served as a department chair and faculty member in Communication Studies. She served as an Associate Professor with tenure at Wheaton College and as a Guest Associate Professor with the Center for the Study of Religion and Society at the University of Notre Dame.
She earned a doctorate in Communication Studies from Northwestern University and holds a Master’s degree in Communications from University of Washington. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in History as a member of the general honors program at Seattle Pacific University.
Christy and her husband Brian and their son Daniel reside in Mechanicsburg with their 14-year-old dog Toby. They attend Mechanicsburg Brethren in Christ Church.
