"The Wizard of Oz"

The Lancaster Mennonite Drama Department will be presenting the musical version of L. Frank Baum’s classic story, “THE WIZARD OF OZ.”  The stage version closely follows the classic 1939 MGM film starring Judy Garland.  The story follows Dorothy’s adventures after she arrives in Oz.  She is helped along the way by Glinda, the Good Witch of the North, the Scarecrow, the Tinman, the Cowardly Lion, and of course the Wonderful Wizard of Oz himself.   Along the way, the Wicked Witch of the West tries to stop her, but in the end, good triumphs and Dorothy realizes that “there is no place like home.”
