Schoology

At Lancaster Mennonite, we use Schoology (pronounced SCHOOL-uh-jee) to help parents, students, and teachers in PreK-12th grade stay connected day-to-day.

It’s our online tool for sharing:

  • Grades and assignments (Middle School & High School Only)
  • Classroom and grade level updates
  • Teacher communication
  • Clubs and extracurricular group updates


Student Schoology Access: schoology.lancastermennonite.org
Student Schoology accounts for grades 5-12 are created automatically by the school and can be accessed the first day of school. Students will use their LM user name and password to login. This information will be provided to new students during the first week of classes.

Parent Schoology Access: app.schoology.com
To stay connected, please make sure you can access Schoology through the desktop website or mobile app. Take a moment to review your notification settings. If you need to set up a parent account, please refer to the detailed instructions below. Support will be available to assist new families in-person with account setup during Back-to-School Night or anytime via email.

Parent Sign-up & Login

If you need an access code, please email your grade-level administrative assistant: 

In the email to your grade-level administrative assistant, please include:

  • Your full name
  • Your child’s full name

Create Your Schoology Account

Once you have received a Sign Up Code, use the ‘First-Time Sign-up for Parents‘ button to begin.

When registering:

  • Use your name and email, not your child’s
  • Uncheck the box that says: ‘Subscribe me to the Schoology Exchange Blog’
  • Click Register to finish creating your account
  • Review your notification settings and choose how you’d like to receive updates (email, app notifications, etc).

Have More Than One Child at LM?
After registering:

  1. Log into Schoology
  2. Click your name in the top menu
  3. Choose ‘Add Child’ and enter their unique parent access code

Check your Notification Settings:

To make sure you receive school and classroom updates check your notification settings:

  1. Sign in to Schoology
  2. Click your name or profile picture in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Click the Notifications tab.
  5. Review your notification preferences and choose how you would like to receive updates (email, mobile, etc)
  6. Save any changes

We recommend enabling notifications for announcements, messages and group updates so you don’t miss important information from your child’s teachers for grade-level groups or other groups they are a part of.

Already Have a Schoology Account with Another School?

That’s okay! You have options:

  1. Using the Parent Access Code you received from LM, create a new Schoology account, but use only the username field, not the email field.
  2. Sign into your existing Schoology account from the other school and link it to your new LM account by following these instructions: https://uc.powerschool-docs.com/en/schoology/latest/linking-parent-accounts-across-different-organizations

No longer need access to the other school’s account?

Students and Staff

Students, teachers, and staff, please sign into Schoology at schoology.lancastermennonite.org using your Lancaster Mennonite email address and password.
