Discover a place where your child can flourish!
PreKindergarten (PreK) lays the foundation for success in school and life through purposeful play, movement, and academically rich kindergarten readiness experiences. Active learning stations, free play, outdoor exploration, and structured instruction help students build the social-emotional, language, literacy, and early math skills they need for a confident transition to kindergarten. By nurturing each child’s natural curiosity, we inspire a lifelong love of learning while preparing them for future academic success.
Full-day 3, 4 and 5 day PreK is available! Choose the Right Option for Your Family!
Student-Centered Academics That Prepare Children for Kindergarten
PreK is offered five full days per week and parents can choose a three-day (M, T, Th), four-day (M-Th) or five-day program. Must be three and a half years old and potty trained by September 1 to be eligible for admission.
THE LM DIFFERENCE
Our PreK program thoughtfully balances developmentally appropriate academics, purposeful play, and faith formation. Through intentional instruction and hands-on learning experiences, students build strong early literacy, math, language, and social-emotional skills while developing the confidence and independence needed for a successful transition to kindergarten. Students in PreK are guided to consider how they can love and care for each other and live peacefully. Bible lessons from the Encounter curriculum focus on the life and ministry of Jesus and relate to children’s families and faith communities.
FOREST SCHOOL FRIDAYS
This program allows PreK students to take their learning outdoors to explore nature, build knowledge of and appreciation for God’s creation, and engage in child-led play. Forest School is a concept encouraging routine, outdoor learning experiences to help build resilience, improve social skills and mental health, and connect to nature.
BILINGUAL PREK LESSONS
PreK students will be introduced to Spanish instruction through the use of Spanish resources and a certified Spanish instructor, featuring bilingual dramatic play, video and song, and age-appropriate, high interest fiction and nonfiction readings.
HANDS-ON INVESTIGATION, PLAY, AND LEARNING
Our PreK program uses The Creative Curriculum, designed to foster creativity, discovery, and critical thinking through hands-on, project-based investigations. Students spend each day learning through purposeful play in the classroom and outdoors while developing independence, problem-solving skills, and meaningful relationships. Through a balance of rigorous early learning experiences and play-based exploration, children build the academic and social-emotional foundations essential for kindergarten readiness.
