Misión y Visión

Liderazgo en educación

LM is Rooted in Christ, and we want students to grow not just in knowledge, but in faith, character, and develop great friendships too. We want students to leave LM ready to serve, make peace, and use their gifts wherever God calls them—at home, in our community, and around the world.

Misión

Rooted in Christ and guided by Scripture, Lancaster Mennonite School educates and disciples students through compassionate community, vibrant student life, and engaging curriculum.

Visión

Inspired by the transforming gospel of Jesus, Lancaster Mennonite School graduates embody their faith locally and globally in vocation, service, and peacemaking.

LM welcomes students, families, employees and board members who share a commitment to its purpose. As a community, we are guided by and recognize the LM Core Values, Mission, and Vision Statements, the Mennonite Education Agency 15 Faith Practice Statements, and the Confession of Faith in a Mennonite Perspective (1995). Ultimately, these guiding documents regard the Scripture as the trustworthy standard for Christian faith and life.

PERFIL DEL EGRESADO

Students are equipped for adulthood with a strong academic foundation, prepared for college, career, and life, and a faith rooted in Christ for the glory of God and the good of others.

Academic Ends:

  1. Exhibits grade-level competency in core subject matter and possesses identified knowledge and skills in the academic disciplines.
  2. Has a love for learning and has developed skills that enable him/her to be a lifelong learner with the ability to solve problems, communicate effectively, think critically, and work collaboratively with others
  3. Are media and technology literate and have the skills to analyze and manage information

Faith and Life Practice Ends:

  1. Is growing as a disciple of Jesus Christ and in relationship to the faith community
  2. Has a faith formed by Scripture and Jesus as the complete revelation of God
  3. Lives a life of discernment, spiritual growth, and the discovery and development of gifts by asking questions and seeking answers, through the practice of spiritual disciplines, the counsel of other Christians, and the church
  4. Knows he/she is loved by God and shares this love with others by word and deed
  5. Practices global awareness, compassion, cultural sensitivity, humility, respect, and an anti-oppression lifestyle
  6. Practices stewardship of all God has entrusted to him/her, including the natural environment, and is generous in giving of time and money to bless and serve others.
  7. Is growing in Christ-like character resulting in a commitment to forgiveness, understanding, reconciliation, and non-violent resolution of conflict, and respects all human life

DISCIPLINA RESTAURATIVA

Lancaster Mennonite La escuela está comprometida con un enfoque restaurativo en lugar de punitivo para la disciplina que incluye asesoramiento, disculpas, oración, reconciliación y participación de los padres.
