Middle School
No MS drama practice today!
Yearbook group pictures
- Yearbook group pictures will be taken this morning, starting at the beginning of 4th period. Please report promptly to the gathering area, outside the cafeteria, at the following time:
- 10:30 choir, band and orchestra
- 10:40 all sports: boys' soccer, field hockey, volleyball, basketball, and cross country
- 10:50 yearbook, quiz bowl

Congratulations to LMMS students
- This year, LMS qualified to send 3 people to the first round of the National Scripps Spelling Bee. In our middle school wide competition on January 24 at Locust Grove, LMMS students took top honors.
- 1st – Lucas Jemison (8gr)
- 2nd – Sydney Ecsh (6gr)
- 3rd – Reali (Riley) Colon, (8gr)
Open House
- Monday February 6th is our Winter Open House from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Your friends and family are welcome to come check out Lancaster Mennonite. All four of our campuses will be open Monday evening. Families can get a tour of the school and meet students, administrators, and teachers. At the Lancaster campus there will also be the opportunity for incoming high school students to look at course selection. We need your help to invite families to attend!
Re-enrollment
- One month left! We want you back at Lancaster Mennonite next year. Reenrollment has begun, and many of you are already registered. If your parents have not reenrolled online yet, they have until March 1, 2012. At that point the registration fee changes from $100 to $200 per student. Your parents can re-enroll on the school website. If they have questions, they can contact Christy Horst in the office.
High School
The American Mathematics Competition test will occur periods 1, 2 and 3 on Tuesday, February 7 in the dining hall. Please sign up to take the test in your math class. Your teacher will give you a sample test. Calculators are not permitted for this test.
Mr. Sprunger's Coffee Club will met in the Study Hall Room 200 today
SAC
- Student Advancement Committee will get their picture taken for yearbook at 11:20 this morning in the gathering area. Please be prompt!
Student Organization Pictures
- Today during club period, Jonathan Charles will be taking group photos in the Gathering Area. Look on the lists beside the office and in the Gathering Area for the time your group photo is scheduled to be taken. Be in the Gathering Area at the time listed. Be prompt--we can not wait for late arrivals! SAC members, please come at 11:20 (the same time as PALS) to have your picture taken. We will NOT be announcing groups and times over the intercom. Advisors, please bring your group roster with you.
Yearbook staff applications
- All applicants for positions on the 2012-2013 yearbook staff--TODAY your completed application is due. Please give it to Fran Genoese or Mrs. Moyer in Room 203 by 3:35 pm.
From the Guidance office
College rep
- There is a representative from Hesston College on campus today who will be in the guidance office, visiting classes and in the gathering area during pd 5. To meet with the Hesston College rep, ask you teacher for a pass to the office.
Early dismissal on Thursday
- Just a reminder that there is a 12:44 dismissal on Thursday of this week. Those students riding buses, please check with your driver to determine if they pick up. If they do not, please make transportation arrangements.
Formal dresses
- Ladies, are you beginning to think of Jr./Sr. banquet?? There are several pre-owned dresses available for girls to use for the banquet. Feel free to stop by and look at them in the Family and Consumer Science Room 123.
