From March 27-31, Lancaster Mennonite will hold our World Changer Week. During this week, our students will engage in acts of service for our community. Serving others is one of the ways we express our core values of seeking Jesus wholeheartedly and living compassionately.

At school, students have written letters asking potential sponsors (family & friends) to support them as they perform these acts of service. If you would like to support Christ-centered, world changing education click the link below to DONATE NOW!

Programs LM students will be participating in:

  • My Coins Count

  • Packing School Kits

Schedule of Service Projects:

Elementary Students and 5th Grade

Students in grades 2, 3, 4 and 5 will be assembling school kits during World Changers Week for Mennonite Central Committee (MCC). https://mcc.org/get-involved/kits/school .

LMS has enough supplies for 400 School Kits purchased through a non profit organization which buys items in bulk for a considerable savings. (a local Sunday School class supplied some of these funds) We welcome any additional funds or supplies families wish to donate. If you would like to donate cash – each kit costs $5.10.

You may send in supplies that you purchase. Here is a list of items in each school kit

Contents (NEW items only):

  • 4 spiral or perforated-pages notebooks (8.5 in x 10.5 in and 70 sheets)
  • 8 new unsharpened pencils
  • 1 ruler (flat, good quality; must indicate 30 cm; inch markings optional)
  • 12 colored pencils (in packaging)
  • 1 large eraser
  • 2 new black or blue ballpoint pens
  • 1 small all metal pencil sharpener, one or two holes. All metal sharpeners can be found online at Amazon.com or Bazic.com.or in the art supply section of retail stores like Staples. Plastic case pencil sharpeners are not accepted because these are poor quality and do not last as long. If you cannot find all metal sharpeners please pack the kits without them and we will add the sharpeners.
