2024 Summer Camps

Join us this summer for camps!

We're excited to offer a variety of summer camps for you child this summer - everything from music, to art, to science, to athletics, to garden-to-table, and more! Explore the list below and pick multiple weeks to learn and play with us this summer.

EXTENDED CARE PROGRAM:
Need more hours of camp for your elementary aged child? Extend their day at camp to a full day by adding 1pm-3pm “extended care!” During this time, campers will participate in daily themed activities, crafts, service activities, outdoor games and water play, and an afternoon snack. The extended care cost covers your child’s participation each day the camp is in session. Minimum two campers needed to run extended care. World Music Summer Camp Week 1

World Music Summer Camp Week 1

Dates: June 3-6, 2024

Age: entering K-4th   

Number of Students: 4-8   

Description: Students will spend the week learning about instruments used in music in cultures around the world. Students will learn to build their own version of eight instruments, hear how they sound, and create music together. Students will spend playtime on the playground, and will enjoy a picnic lunch together each day before taking their instrument creations home. This camp will be offered two different weeks with the same content.

Girls Basketball Camp

Date and Time: June 11-13, 9am-1pm

Leaders:  The Lancaster Mennonite Girls Varsity coaches  .

Age group: rising 2nd-6th graders

Location: Lancaster Mennonite High School campus, 2176 Lincoln Hwy East, Lancaster, PA

Description: Each day your daughter will be working on the basic fundamentals of basketball. They will be doing dribbling, passing, layups, shooting, and defence drills. After lunch they will incorporate the morning drills / skills to compete and fun games and friendly competition. ! Players should pack their own lunches.

Cost: $125  (Register by May 31 for a discounted price of $115).

Boys Basketball Camp

Date: June 17 – 20, 2024

Time: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Age group: rising 4th – 10th graders

Location: Lancaster Mennonite High School campus, 2176 Lincoln Hwy East, Lancaster

Description: The Blazers Boys Basketball Camp is a great chance to make new friends, learn more about the fundamentals of basketball, and have fun playing the game we love. Each day we will also have a series of teachings on how to honor God with our play and how to be a part of a team. Players should pack their own lunches.

Cost: $165. Register by May 31 for a discounted price of $150. A $15 discount is also offered to families that enroll more than one child

Description: The Lancaster Mennonite Girls Volleyball Camp is open to anyone (both LM students and non-LM students). We will split up into appropriate age groups and skill levels. Beginners will learn the fundamentals of the game on one net, and experienced players will hone their skills on another net. Everyone will have a lot of fun! Players should pack their own lunches.

Garden Summer Camp Week 1

Garden Summer Camp Week 1: “Garden-to-Table” 

Dates: July 8-12, 2024

Times: 9am-1pm

Price per student: $215 or $190 for your second child  

Age: entering K-5th   

Number of Students: 7-13    

Description: Students will spend the week discovering the connections between the garden and the kitchen. Each day students will engage in a variety of themes ranging from herbs to colors of the garden to pollinators and create everything from a bug hotel to herbal Play- doh.  Students will gather produce from the garden each day and learn to work as a team to transform it into lunch. Pizza with fresh herbs, fresh mint tea, lettuce wraps, and a plant parts salad are just a snapshot of all that will be created and enjoyed!

Youth All-Sports Camp

Description: This will be a fun week of sports and games for campers. We will start with outdoor games in the morning (before it gets too hot), take a break for lunch and a short devotional lesson from the Bible, then finish the day with some indoor games in the gym. Students should pack their own lunch, as well as snacks for the morning and afternoon as needed.

Description: This camp helps prepare girls soccer players to get prepared for the season. This will focus on fun team games and different soccer skills. This is also an opportunity for anyone interested in playing soccer to see if they enjoy playing.

Description: Skills: We will focus on developing skills (fielding, hitting, pitching, baserunning) for the first 1.5 hrs.
Playing: We will break into teams and play a scrimmage/game for the second 1.5 hrs.

Description: Students will spend the week engaging with a variety of science concepts through guided lessons, experiments, and projects. Students will learn specifically about codes, forces and motion, excavators, the seasons, and how polar bears blend into their environment. Students will hear a story related to the day’s science theme, and will enjoy a picnic lunch together each day before enjoying time on the playground.
