Kelley Buckwalter

Kraybill Campus Fourth Grade

Educational Background:

  • Graduated from Millersville University with a degree in elementary education and English as a second language.

Favorite Bible verse:

My favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29: 11-13. “For I know the plans I have for you,”  declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

Enjoys teaching because:

I believe children are one of God’s many gifts to the world. Working with children every day and being able to see Christ through children’s eyes is an honor and a privilege to me. Every day I get to laugh with my students, I get to learn with my students and I get to see them grow. I don’t know anything that is better than watching a “light bulb” go off in a child’s mind.

Other:

I grew up in Hershey, the sweetest place on earth. I moved to Marietta in the summer of 2011, after I married my best friend, Curtis. We live in a 150-year-old farmhouse. My husband is a sixth generation farmer, and farms alongside his father every day.  We have a dog, named Tucker. I enjoy being outdoors, fishing, eating out, watching football (especially the Steelers and Penn State), shopping, spending times with friends and family and going to the beach. Curt and I attend Crossroads BIC, in Mount Joy.
