Students receive certificates of Functional Fluency from The Global Seal of Biliteracy
Nik Martiny, Marin Iovino, and Myla Esbenshade received certificates of Functional Fluency from The Global Seal of Biliteracy. The Global Seal provides a nationally recognized, universally consistent and inclusive certification of language skills from middle school through adulthood. This level of fluency is the highest level that 8th graders can receive and certifies their ability in both Spanish and English, demonstrating the strength of the immersion program to produce biliterate students. This is the first time that immersion students participated in testing for this recognition. Nik, Marin, and Myla are continuing their language program by taking AP Spanish as 9th graders.
