1964 Class Reunion

On Saturday, October 10, 2009, 58 classmates and 42 spouses/friends gathered at the LMS Alumni Dining Hall for an evening of informal fun and fellowship to celebrate the class of 1964’s 45th year reunion. Many came early for a 5 p.m. tour of the new Rutt Academic Center led by J.W. Sprunger. Folks commented on the many changes which have occurred on campus since 1964! Following the tour, Everett Myer welcomed the group to a delicious meal catered by Dottie Weber and staff. James Leaman led the group in a prayer of blessing for the meal. After dinner, “Get to Know Your Classmates,” an icebreaker game, brought a flurry of activity and interactions as folks obtained signatures of the persons described on their sheet of paper. Then, Lester Landis encouraged further sharing during an open mike opportunity. Classmates shared a variety of humorous stories and accounts of God’s presence in their lives. The evening ended with the group singing the class song, “Ready Tools for the Master’s Use” led by composer Clyde Hollinger. Laughter, reminiscing and fellowship continued until after 10 p.m. Then, it was adieu until the big 50 reunion!
