Graduation 2025

We were thrilled to celebrate the Class of 2025 with Senior Dedication on Friday, May 30 and Commencement on Saturday, May 31, 2025 in the Calvin & Janet High Fine Arts Center.

Senior class president, Leah Friesen welcomed the graduating seniors at dedication. Parents, Chris and Dawn Landes provided a Devotional around the theme of “Stop. Reflect. Engage.” The student speakers for Dedication night were: Jared Bowman, Rachel Landes, and Simeon Spurrier. Teachers Jonathan Metzler and Leslie Spurrier provided reflections, and parent Afework Yohannes gave the prayer of dedication. The evening was filled with music by the orchestra and campus chorale.

For commencement morning, students Lindsey Rychener, Hope Wanjiku, Msafiri Amisi, Barkot Yohannes, Tri Du Vu, Zheyu Shi, and Pedro Josh Lucas-Towers read the class verses related to the theme of the year: Building Bridges of Peace, Matthew 5:43-44. each in a different language. Andrés Prins, Consultant and Peace Ambassador at Eastern Mennonite Mission delivered the commencement address entitled “You are not your own, and you are not alone!” to the 83rd graduating class at Lancaster Mennonite. The morning was filled with music by the band and congregational singing, and excitement by family, friends and supporters of graduates as they threw off their caps and celebrated graduating!

What a wonderful weekend of celebration, we are so thankful and filled with joy! Way to go Class of 2025 for this big milestone and accomplishment, you should be so proud!
