Business Networking Event

Thanks to all of you that were able to join us for LM’s Business Networking Breakfast last week. It was wonderful to reboot these in-person business networking events, and with a focus on the agriculture industry. We missed those of you that weren’t able to attend.

Here is a recap of the event:

It was National FFA Week and our high school FFA students treated us to a delicious breakfast of pancakes and sausage as we gathered in the Alumni Dining Hall. Attendees were provided with tours of the facilities in our Ag Tech facilities. Students, Heidi Stoltzfus ‘22, FFA President, and Victor Mattilio ‘22, FFA Vice President, shared about their positive experiences being part of the LM FFA program and the skills they gained that will benefit them in the future.

We heard from guest speakers, Elyse Kauffman from Everence, and LM Alumnus, Mel Nissley ‘75. They spoke about the benefits of donating through gifts of commodities with donor advised funds. Mel shared his personal experience of doing this for years with his farm products of milk, eggs, and soybeans.

We hope to have more agriculture focused events in the future. If you are interested in attending, please let us know, so we are sure to include you.

If you have questions about the event, resources provided, or any of the giving tools, please reach out to me. I would be happy to answer any questions and talk further with you about these unique ways to donate.
