Dear LM Community,

As we know, the landscape with Coronavirus (COVID-19) changes by the day. We would like to communicate information concisely and thoughtfully, including important information pertinent for that time. Included below are the latest updates.

School Opening:

At this time we will continue to operate as long as is safely possible. We will practice social distancing and other recommendations by health experts, and follow state guidelines for operation. Please continue to follow the other health guidelines and policies we’ve set forth.

System-Wide Athletics:

  • HS/MS sports – On Monday we will re-evaluate upcoming games and practices based on guidance from the LL League. PIAA’s no tournament competition rule remains in effect.
  • MSO (Mennonite Sports Organization) – Practice will be held on Monday, but a decision is pending for future practices and games

High School Activities:

  • Senior Presentations, March 16th and 24th – Postponed
  • Senior Dance, March 19 – Cancelled
  • Mini Courses – We will continue to monitor the global situation and make a determination the next 1-2 weeks
  • Campus Chorale performances at churches, March 22 and April 19 – Cancelled when and if school or church is suspended

LMMS (Lancaster Mennonite Middle School) Activities:

  • Exhibition Night, March 18 – As of now it is planning to happen
  • Charlie & The Chocolate Factory Play, April 2-4 – Postponed. On Monday we will re-evaluate practice schedules to align with sports schedules and information

New Danville Campus Activities:

  • Grandparents Day, March 25 – Cancelled
  • Service trip to Willow St Mennonite Church for Feed My Starving Children mobile pack, March 27 – Cancelled
  • Benefit Auction & BBQ, April 3 – Pending decision

Locust Grove Campus Activities: 

  • Pastor’s Breakfast, March 24 – Cancelled
  • Benefit Auction & BBQ, April 24 – Decision pending

We are continuing to make the best decisions we can with the information currently at hand.
