Our campus was buzzing with joy last week as we welcomed more than 200 grandparents and grandfriends for our annual Grandparents Day celebration—a cherished tradition that brings together generations in a meaningful, faith-filled way.

The morning began with a special chapel featuring performances and presentations from our elementary students:

  • PreK opened the program with an energetic performance of “If I Were a Butterfly,” complete with joyful motions.
  • Kindergarteners shared about the Fruits of the Spirit, speaking in both English and Spanish.
  • First graders recited Isaiah 41:10 and sang “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands,” reminding us of God’s constant presence.
  • Second grade confidently recited this year’s school-wide scripture from Colossians in English, Spanish, and Amharic.
  • Third graders shared memorized scripture and motions from Psalm 139:1–14, celebrating God’s intimate care for each of us.
  • Spanish Immersion students in grades 3–4 presented a vibrant dance to a Spanish version of Psalm 23.
  • Fourth graders (English program) closed the program by sharing their meaningful daily affirmations, offering a glimpse into the reflective practices they use each morning.

After chapel, grandparents and grandfriends headed to classrooms to spend time with students. Together they enjoyed coloring and crafts, reading books together, playtime, get-to-know-you games, and other activities that sparked laughter, learning, and connection.

It was a beautiful morning filled with gratitude, celebration, and the reminder that grandparents play a powerful role in shaping the lives of our students. We are deeply thankful for every grandparent and grandfriend who took time to join us and experience the unique Christ-centered learning environment our students enjoy each day.

Thank you for making Grandparents Day so special!
