Lancaster Mennonite School is pleased to announce that Steve Leaman ‘99 will join the school as Director of Major Gifts, beginning August 31.
Leaman brings extensive experience in fundraising, executive leadership, communications, and organizational development, along with a deep personal connection to Lancaster Mennonite. An alumnus, former faculty member, coach, current parent, and longtime ambassador for the school, Steve returns to LM with a passion for strengthening relationships that support the school’s mission and future.
Steve’s connection to Lancaster Mennonite runs deep. A member of the Class of 1999, he and his wife, Mikaela (Hostetter) Leaman ’06, are both LM alumni, and they currently have three children enrolled at Lancaster Mennonite. His siblings are also LM alumni, making Lancaster Mennonite a significant part of his family’s story across generations.
Steve previously served as a Government and Economics teacher and coach at Lancaster Mennonite. Following his time at LM, he served as Director of Fund Development and Legislative Affairs at Ephrata Community Hospital, where he helped lead a successful capital campaign and strengthen community partnerships. Most recently, Steve spent over a decade in executive leadership at Clark Associates, serving as President of The Restaurant Store and later as Chief Communications Officer. Throughout his career, he has built meaningful relationships, led organizational growth, and helped organizations pursue their goals through strong communication and strategic leadership.

As Director of Major Gifts, Leaman will cultivate relationships with donors and supporters whose generosity helps Lancaster Mennonite continue providing a Christ-centered education that prepares students to serve God and others.
