Rain may have changed our plans, but it didn’t dampen the spirit of Lancaster Mennonite’s Homecoming celebration this past weekend! Students, alumni, families, and friends gathered across campus to cheer on our teams, reconnect with old friends, make new memories, and celebrate the LM community.

With a rainy forecast, many of our fall festival activities moved indoors, where kids enjoyed pumpkin decorating, face painting, and other activities. Families also explored campus through school tours and found plenty of opportunities to connect and enjoy the day together.

Outside, brave fans gathered under umbrellas to cheer on the boys’ and girls’ soccer teams, while volleyball fans enjoyed exciting matches indoors. Food trucks and the concession stand kept everyone fueled throughout the day, adding to the festive atmosphere despite the wet weather.

Homecoming also provided a special opportunity for alumni to return to campus and reconnect. At the Alumni Reception, graduates from different generations shared stories, caught up with old friends, and enjoyed being part of the school community once again. Current LM students also helped set the atmosphere by providing music for the reception, with a group of student flutists sharing their talents with alumni and guests.

A little rain couldn’t keep the LM community away! Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer on our teams, support our students, reconnect with friends, and be part of Homecoming 2026. We’re grateful for the volunteers, coaches, staff, families, alumni, and friends who helped make the day possible—and for the many people who braved the rain to celebrate together.

Rain or shine, Homecoming was a wonderful reminder of the connections that make Lancaster Mennonite such a special community.
