ATTOLLO students

Lancaster Mennonite School (LM) recently signed an agreement as a Partner School with Attollo (in Latin means ‘rise up’). The partnership allows many benefits to Lancaster Mennonite students that are nominated and agree to participate in the rigorous college preparation program. The program is geared towards success-oriented high school students in Lancaster County from diverse backgrounds designed to prepare them for college and life in the professional world.

Beginning in their junior year, students participate in “Attollo Recruit”. Once they’ve completed the onboarding process, which is an intensive 6-week course that starts at 5:30 AM three times a week, they are officially Attollo Scholars. Attollo helps students prove to themselves that they can achieve their goals by starting with each student solving a rubix cube. The rest of their junior year they will participate in SAT prep courses, college visits, and other exploratory college prep courses such as coding, studios, voices, medicine, pre-law, and start-up ideas. In their senior year they will do additional college tours, essay prep, college applications, FAFSA and scholarship workshops, and college experiences with shadowing and internship opportunities.

We’re proud to have five Lancaster Mennonite juniors participating in the Attollo program this year:

  • Andrew Lees
  • Kemyah McFadden
  • Siddharth Muddam
  • (Theodore) Max Ross
  • Yanet Wubneh

Here is what our student participants have to say about participation in the program:

Program’s Core Pillars

There are six core pillars that Attollo focuses on to help students to succeed and self-reflect, they are: Strong Mind, Competition, Resiliency, Accountability, Sacrifice, and Finish Strong. As a Christian school, we are glad to also have a special session with emphasis on Christian faith for this group of LM scholars alongside the other LM values and things they are learning with Attollo. Since Christian faith is an important part of their journey now and in the future we want to make sure that is integrated into the process with Attollo for our students.

We are excited for this partnership with Attollo, and the opportunities it offers to our students. We are proud of our current Attollo Scholars and their commitment to this program. I look forward to seeing how their journey with Attollo continues and where their giftings guide them in the future,” said Kirk Benner, High School Principal of Lancaster Mennonite School.

Interested parents and students should contact High School Principal, Kirk Benner with any questions or information about how to get involved in the future.
