Mariah Wilson

In LM’s 50th year of interscholastic basketball we have a new record setter for most career points, currently at 1,733!

Last week Mariah Wilson ’21 broke the LM Blazer’s 30 year standing record (from 1991 by Missy High) when she surpassed the 1,652 career point mark.

She then went on to officially join the Lancaster Lebanon League’s 1,700-point club in a game on February 13th, 2021, making her only the 17th player in L-L History to hit this (according to LNP). “The Towson University commit is at 1,711 for her career, tops in program history. Wilson is scoring at a 29.4 clip in the last five games, including a 40-point, and a pair of 30-point outings.” – Lancaster Newspaper

“It takes a lot of hard work, diligence, persistence, and perseverance to achieve 1000 points in your career, let alone 1700 and counting. Congratulations to Mariah Wilson on her amazing accomplishment! God has blessed her with a gift that will take her far in her life. I wish you continued success in your career!” – Marvin Sanders, LM Athletic Director

“It feels unreal. It’s something that I always had in the back of my head but I knew I had to work for it to really happen. I couldn’t have done it without my teammates, family, and coaches who have supported me throughout the way.” – Mariah Wilson ’21

“Congratulations Mariah Wilson! It’s been a great time coaching you the last 4 years. To see all the training and hard work you had to put in, has truly been a pleasure to watch! May the good Lord continue to bless you on your journey! History in the making, you are not done yet!” – Girls Basketball Varsity Head Coach Trevor Orr
